We had an excellent array of stalls - food, craft, activities and others
A main feature of Summerfest is the excellent MG Car show
Several stage acts and arena displays kept the crowd entertained
Billericay Mayflower Rotarians always look forward to SummerFest, a real highlight of the summer calendar for us... and for you too we hope! For those of you who’ve not attended before, SummerFest is a delightful mix of craft and charity stalls, attractions such as a children’s funfair, bungee-trampolining, old favourite Punch and Judy, Owls-R-Us, a great line-up of stage and arena acts and, new this year, a penalty shoot-out and a fancy dress competition.
There is also a wide variety of food and drinks stalls, including a beer tent, and a "Pimm’s and Prosecco" gazebo for you to enjoy.
Of course, none of this would be possible if it were not for the hard work and commitment of our Club members, so I would like to express my thanks to them, and to our lovely sponsors, Ground Control and Thurrock Fostering Service.
So please join us……….
Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community by volunteering. It is also about bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way.
Summerfest is on Queen Elizabeth II Field (previously Sun Corner) in Billericay - set the postcode on your SatNav to CM12 9JZ. Free car parking is available on site.
We meet on a Thursday evening at the Burstead Golf Club for dinner at 8pm. As well as SummerFest, we are also responsible for Billericay Christmas Market and other events around the town.
Why not have a look at our website or, if you want to visit us, drop a line to the secretary.
